La Roche Posay: Thermal Spring Water

Hello again!

A quick review for a product I fell in love during my summer holidays!

Having a water in a bottle and spraying it when you're sweating at the beach or under the city sun is a life saver. Even my boyfriend was impressed with it, that I'm sure he would like to bring it again on our next holidays :P

So, what I was doing? Well, having in mind that you spend almost your whole day when you're on holidays to the beach, so furthermore you have a free of make up face, then this one is your freedom.
Every time I was in the sun and I couldn't bare the sweat on my face, a tiny pssst of that and I was a new born baby, with a fresh moisturised face!

Also, when I was walking in the streets of Rome, with my full make up on this time, and having a hotty hot weather, I was spraying it on mine and my mum's face, letting it dry in just a sec and were feeling alive again!

Some of you may think what? I won't give 6 Euros for just water in a bottle, but lady it does worth the hype; and think that you can only use it in the summer, when you're at the beach or when you're at the gym or at your office. In general, every time you start sweating and you can't wash your face properly, this is what you need! It's pure facial hygiene ;)
Convenient and handy to carry around the size you prefer.

La Roche-Posay: Toleriane teint fluid Foundation

Hey everyone!

I know that the foundation part is quite interesting for many of you when it comes to blogging part.
It's crucial for me too, while I believe a good base on your make up can change your whole face to the best, but to the worst too, so you really need to be careful when you're about to choose the correct make up!

That's the part when La Roche Posay comes... again !!! :-)

This review is going to be for a full coverage foundation! So, if you're on to that keep reading!
If not, still keep reading as you might change your thoughts on heavy and full coverage foundations...
Let me tell you why...

To begin with, this Toleriane range foundation is the best for my skin out there! I can shout out that this is my all time adorable full coverage foundation everrrrrr ^_^
I know what you're waiting for me to say and yes! It has amazing full coverage with only one little drop!!!
I do have acne scars, and this one makes them dissapear like magic!
It conceals the red part areas, without leaving you with that purple leftover marks some medium foundations do. No, it just conceals them perfectly with only one layer! It's easy when in comes to coverage as you don't need to reapply a second layer, even if you're on the most problematic side.
Seriously, I do want to wear a foundation that don't need to use a concealer on top on spots and blemishes. It's time consuming and can be a little tricky sometimes as you might overdo it and instead of concealing, you tend to enhance more the area you wanted to hide.
With this foundation, you conceal your whole face, even if you don't need to, without looking like "oh look, she has acne on her chin", cause it provides an even looking face!
If you feel like not wearing foundation to your whole face, you can easily sheer it out with a smaller amount and you're done!
I think that even if you're not on the full coverage fan club, cause you have bad experineces on looking cakey and heavy faced, or because you just don't need a full one, this one would change your mind. I believe that you would love how your face looks, even if you do have a problematic free face!
It creates the perfect base for your make up as it makes you so incredibly even, even on your under eye area while you don't need a concealer there too! Amazing huh? :)
The only part you should be more careful with is the wrinkle area around your mouth. You need to apply a tiny tiny layer, just what has left in your hands so as not to have those lines noticable.
I do love the finish! It's semi matte, which I think is incredible as you can manage your matte finish with your translucent loose powder you love and boom, you're ready! And with that combo, it last 24 hours! Yes, I have tested it out for sooo long, so you can trust me.
I'm so excited as you can tell, cause you can immediately feel better with your skin, camouflaging areas you want and feeling nice playing with your rest make up!

Also, a key to that amazing result is that the 11 Light Beige shade I own is the exact same color with my neck! That's a plus as you can't see a difference. Obviously, due to the full coverage it's noticable that you're wearing make up, I don't say that it won't. But, imagine heaving a full coverage foundation with a slight lighter or deeper color match? It would be a disaster... ( If you're an NC20, go for 11 ).

Oh oh oh! It has an Spf 25 too !!!! For me this is amazing! I don't get why some of you keep complaining of the white cast effect on your photos. I haven't noticed anything on my photos. Even If I did, I wouldn't mind as the benefits I get for the product can't beat that!

I do like the package too. A simple plastic tube, with a thin dropping stuff, enough hygienic for my usage.
Price whise, it's more than ok, as for 19 Euros you get a perfect full coverage foundation, while my Estee Lauder double wear has 40 Euros.
I have stuck to this one and I won't buy again another foundation! I'm in love :)
I have found the one that I'll keep buying, as I did with my Froika Cleansing Gel !

A thing that I have noticed is that the previous formula, with the yellow picture in front, not with that red one, was thicker? Perhaps less workable? I feel like I was liking the previous formula more, as this one is more watery when it comes on applying, while the previous one was less liquidy? I don't say that it's not good,it is easy to apply, as it glides on your skin, but I feel with those full coverage foundation it's easier to put the product on, and with only one swatch you get the product applied.
Maybe I'm wrong, cause they say it is the exact same product and that they only changed the package. Don't know, it's not something special no matter what.

So, maybe I should't have shared with you my secret for faking a flawless skin. But who cares, now you know! :)
If you do have it, please let me know if you're so amazingly in love like me.
If not, go get it!  :-)

Have a nice rest of the day!

La Roche-Posay: Respectissime Ultra-Doux Defining Mascara

Hey everyone and Happy February!

The reason why this post will be a controversial one, is based to my mixed feelings for this mascara.Well, I know I might sound boring, but my love for La Roche Posay is a fact.
This Respectissime mascara though, isn't a wow product for me and that's a little bit frustrating for that brand. Let me tell you why...

First things first, I really do appreciate its wand. Enough small and precise for your lower lash line and for your outer corner ones. A general ok size for an every day mascara. Nothing crazy or so.
I think that the actual liquid product is what I'm not satisfied with.
I dont know, every time I put on one layer, it's sooo clumpy that I look like I have 3 top thick lashes. They stuck together. It's like the liquid cannot be applied and blend in to your lashes, and it only stucks on them; there, to only one part, and not to the whole individual lash hair if you know what I mean. Maybe it's the short bristles in conjunction to the liquid? Don't know. When it comes to my second layer, the things are getting better, as I build the product up while I'm trying to separate them when they're still wet. Then I'm ok...
I do like the result I get with that full lash effect, but I don't like the effort I put on to achieve that.
If I put it on quickly, I'm gonna end up with spider lashes. It takes time to achieve a nice look. You can get that, but does it worth that whole procedure?
If for some reason you wish a third layer, that would be a bad idea, as you might destroy the seperated look you have achieved from second layer, by sticking them together.
Also I find that If i'm not using any eyeshadow, but my mascara, it appears like "wow, you have eyeliner too, huh?". It's super black and flirty!
I think it looks more natural though, If you have your eyeshadows on as a distraction, otherwise it seems almost like you have fake lashes on. Good and bad on the same time, depending the occasion you want it for.
Also, I do like that when it comes to taking off my make up, that liquid is soo gentle and easy to cleanse it off that i'm impressed! So, for days when you want to come and demaquillage quickly, that's your saver!
The fact that it has good ingredients like argan oil and shea butter that they can truely nourish your lashes is amazing! You know that you're not harming your sensitive eyes! And when it comes to lashes that are been tortured every day with make up and so on, that's awesome! The reason why I love that brand ;-)
Oh, I heart the texture of my lashes too! They're not soft, but they're softer than every other average mascara. You can feel those oils are working :)
In general, it's a simple every day mascara, more to the defining and lengthening than volumising type.
Product was sent from assetOgilvy on behalf of L’oreal Cosmetique Active.
The sad part is that for the 5,9ml of product, the 18 Euros price tag is way too high.
I do like the slim package, but for that price... nuhhh
I've used in the past the one for volume the brand has and it's amazing! That one I'm going to repurchase every time I want that kind of therapy to my lashes.

So, you can see why it's a love and hate product on the same time.
It seems that when you're dealing more to your health, and less to your image, some products may not work as well as you would like. And when it comes to that brand, I do expect the product to be a 100% perfect, for me, for you, for everybody ;)
If you have used it, tell me your thoughts too.

La Roche-Posay: Toleriane Ultra intense soothing care

Goodmorning people!

This is again a French scincare review, for a daily and basic routine; facial hydration...

You know that I'm a La Roche-Posay lover! I've been using almost all brand's products for soooo many years, same my mum. My dermatologist recommends their products, from the time I cant even remember myself!
Specially in Greece, we used to order them from France so as to get them to Greece. They were so expensive, as they consider to be those pharmacetical products. Nowdays, they're less pricey, still at those high end price level, so that's a relief!

Well, enough with my rambling.
On to this amazing moisturiser!

Toleriane Ultra is a facial moisturiser for allergic, intolerant, sensitive skin.
A thing that you need to know first is that you might have sensitive skin even if you have oily acne prone, or even if you have dry irritated skin. So, that's the purpose of this moisturiser, to be converted to any skin type needs, while paying attetion to the need a sensitive skin has.
It has a rich for my oily skin texture, enough thick to feel that you are really moisturised. But the key is that even though it has that texture, it doesn't feel heavy on your skin.
I can see that I have for some minutes oily forehead, but my skin absorbes it in 5 minutes.
I use it every day in the morning to my chin, nose and forehead, places my skin can accept more moisturization than my cheeks.
I love that it leaves the skin smooth in just a sec! I can feel that after I cleanse my face, the right amount of oilyness that has gone is back in place to my skin; and I do believe that's the key to that product.
It has that thickness a moisturiser needs, without making you oily but inserting deep to your skin the amount you need, whether you have acne skin or dry. Every sensitive girl prone to allergies can use it as you put moisture to your skin while feeling barely nothing at your smooth face.
It's the perfect base for your foundation too, helping you create a silky result.
The smell is pleasant, nothing too special. Only that good high end pharmacetical quality aroma.
Product was sent from assetOgilvy on behalf of L’oreal Cosmetique Active.
My mum has dry-cracked skin, and she can use it too, feeling reliefed and immediately smoothed. It's amazing how it can be worked for both skin types, adapting each ones needs.
Apart from all of that, it has an ingredient that from time to time allows your sensitive skin to be more acceptable to allergies that propably would affect you and minimize them!

An important part is that it is simmilar to the moisturiser my dermatologist had recommended to me by Froika, the Sensitive Cream Light. http://www.froika.com/default.asp?V_DOC_ID=2071.

They are both for really sensitive skin, that needs calming and soothing  anti irritating properties, for immediate results no matter your skin type! From oily to dry !!!
I'm not afraid while I'm using it, as I know it won't harm myself; And it doesn't !!
I love it for that and that's why I DO recommend it !!!!

It's a 40ml product for around 15 to 20 Euros.
It has a new innovating packaging, that doesn't allow air to come through the pump, so as the cream can be truely closed, away from contamination and oxidation. As I can see, the moisturiser is closed in a kind of plastic bag inside the bottle, in order no cream  dried up residues to be left inside the bottle. Very clever and hygienic method!

This is a video showing you what a sensitive skin really means!!!!

Enjoy your day!

La Roche-Posay: Hydraphase Intense Serum

Hey everyone!

For a couple of months I've been testing out this amazing rehydrating gel-serum for sensitive dehydrated skins!
Well, I only have to say the best of words for this one.

First of all, it's a watery formula, with nice smooth gel texture that's easy and quick to use.
When you put it on it feels like you literally throw water to your face! It gently moisturises your skin without making you oily or something. It absorbs immediately and leaves your skin so soft and mat. You know and you can feel that you've been moisturised in 2 seconds!

In the summer I do not use my regular Uriage moisturiser, as what I only do in the morning is to put on my sunscreen which has moisturising properties too, so I don't need to overuse too many products.
So, as I have a "luck" I would say of a proper moisturiser, this serum makes the whole miracle!
Why ? Beacuse it's a concetrated moisturising serum, that infuses deep inside your skin only with water! Straight where your face needs it! And that's more than good for my skin.
Apart from that, I know that due to the factor that it's a light formula full of hyaluronic acids it can smooth any expression lines you may have.
I do have oily skin and had no problem using it in the morning, under my sunscreen, days I feel I need some more extra hydration.
Don't forget that in the summer all skins become a little bit more dehydrated, so even if you do use a moisturiser, you may want to use this one in your night scincare routine as an extra step.
My mum has dry skin and she looooves it!

I definitely see results now that I'm back from my holidays, as the sun did its job.
I won't use it in the winter just because it's too light using it on its own then, and too much for my skin to use it both with my regural moisturiser.
But in the summer I found that it's the most clever way to put hyaluronic acids deep inside your skin.

Product was sent from assetOgilvy on behalf of L’oreal Cosmetique Active.
When it comes to package, it has a nice glass bottle with pump, quite posh I would say.
It's a 30 ml for 25 euros.

I recommend it even if you are not used to serums. You and your mum will love it!
Some days it's nice to treat yourself  more than you would :)

La Roche-Posay: Blush in 03 Beige Praline

Hello girls and happy August! :)

I'm back from my summer holidays in Lefkada island, and I'm more than ready for some reviews I had in mind for quite long time.

You need to know that my all time favorite make up item that I never go out without it on is my blush!
Love blushes and love bronzing blushes. Summer and winter.
When it comes from my favorite brand too, it makes me double happy; and that's La Roche-Posay!!! whoot whoot :)

Well, this blush is my go to summer blush, for almost 2 years since I bought it !
It has the most amazing true bronzing color, not too dark not too light, that gives your cheeks that warm glow you need for healthy summery looks. The name Praline describes it amazingly.
It has shimmers that makes you look like you're wearing extra highlight on your cheekbones. Not too many, but enough to make you shine :)
On the same time, the color itself makes a truely nice job when it comes to contour. Defines your cheeks without looking muddy or dirty like some powdery bronzers do.

For me it's a 3 in 1 product while I use it as my blush, my highlighter and my bronzer due to its color and texture.

It's a silky powder formula, quite light and easy to handle with and blends with your skin perfect!
It lasts all day! Seriously, all day !!! It doesn't go anywhere and that's a plus for me.
It has an amazing color pay off, as you need only one swatch and boom! you're ready . Blushed and defined!

If you have blemish bumbs, I wouldn't recommend it cause the shimmer will enhance your problem areas.
Personally I tend to wear it only in the summer, when I have a little color on, cause I think its color looks too much dark and shiny in winter time for my NC20 skin tone.

Blush brush from The Body Shop

It's a 6gr product in an awesome sleek, small and pretty package, that's easy to carry on with you.
Retails for around 18 Euros.
There are another 3 shades in the range I believe which are nice too.

Try one of their blushes and you'll be happy that you've discovered a better version of Mac blushes

Don't forget that it's a French brand that certainly won't irritate you or make you break out!
Love it ! xxx

La Roche-Posay: Anthelios XL Fluide Extreme Teinte Spf 50+

Goodmorning people!

I've been waiting for so long to write down this Sunscreen review, so here it is...

Well, I really wanted to love this one, which I do, but not in a 100%, that makes me sad and I'll tell you why.. The one and only reason is the tint. It's like it doesn't have a tint at all, so freaking sheer because of its ultra runny formula :(
I've been using several tinted suncreens in the past, and in the majority they gave me a nice even out complexion, not a covering one obviously, but a light even color.
This one does nothing when it comes to color, which was really annoying cause that was mainly the reason I bought it, and it turned out to be like a normal suncreen. It only makes you look a shade and a half tanner.
It's nice when you're using it instead of your foundation with some concealer on top, but in the beach? Not so much.
That's the only downside for this tinted version.

On to the good ones, whick actually made me purchase it a second bottle!!! :)
It has the most amazing lightweight feeling when you put it on!
It's like you put water in your face, which in some way dries out pretty fast in my oily skin. It's perfect for normal to combination/oily skin types, even for more sensitive ones to sun and to breakouts.
It blends extremely well, weird for suncreen formulas as they turn to be more thick compared to moisturisers. Well this one could be more moisturising than a regural mosituriser, lightweight and watery on the same time; not sticky at all ! Amazing!
It doesn't have a smell and it doesn't make me oily throughtout the day.
It's like I don't have something on which I love when it comes to hot weather and sweating stuff.
Its very high Spf makes me feel safe when it comes to my scaring, which I really need to pay attention to.

Although I've been dissapointed from its tint, I keep wearing it as my base for my every day summery foundation routine, with only my concealer on top in the areas I need, some powder and I'm more than ready to go. For that it's perfect!!
I would not use it reguralry in the beach, because I do have acne scars, and this one doesn't minimize their appearance at all. That's the reason why maybe I won't repurchase the tinted version again; Don't know. If I try all the tinted sunscreens from all brands out there and have to buy for second time one from the past, well... maybe I would choose this one from all I have used in the past, just because of its non irritating formula. I would definitely buy the normal version though.
But thank god it gives at least a nice ligt tan. Every time I have this on in the beach, I do feel like my face has been illuminated!
If its color would be a little bit more opaque, that little baby would be a miracle for your skin !!!!

It's a 50ml bottle, for 18.5euros.
I would recommend it even to the most oily sensitive skin type girls out there, with sun allergies, as it won't irritate you at all!
So kind to the skin!
What I would only say is don't bother buying the tinted version, as it does nothing. Buy the regural one. Or if you do buy this one, it would only be to avoid the white effect some suncreens make.

Ps. My mum also has the exact same formula, with that high spf50, but the one for dry skin and with no tint. Well, she's in love with its velvet texture!

Have a nice day !! xxx

La Roche-Posay Unifiance Mat fluid Foundation

Hello everybody!

Time for my second favorite foundation, obviously a French one, from a brand I absolutely love !!!
Honestly, I do have all La Roche Posay's make up range, and some of their skincare line.
Not to mention that my dermatologist also recommends them for me.

Well on to the product!
This is my second bottle of this foundation, and not the last one for sure!
I have oily-acne prone skin with some scares and this is suitable exactly for my type. It's a mat formula, wich means you don't need powder at all. It controls oil so good. I would say that it lasts pretty long time throughout the day, without blotting. You can wear it alone and it seems that you're wearing nothing, like it's actually your normal skin.
It has an amazing finish, lightweight, but covering on the same time imperfections. I wouldn't say that it can cover up blemishes or redness totally, but it can surely gives a nice even complexion, with a medium to buildable full coverage.
With some extra concealer on aeras you wanna cover a little bit more, you're more than ready to go!
Personally, I do prefer wearing only one layer and then conceal only where I truely need it.
But you can build up your coverage without concealer, using two or three layers.
What I have to mention is that it really needs a nice generous amount of moisturiser, so as to set up on your skin like a "second skin" foundation. After that, you have to work pretty fast, not that it dries out, but only to give the best fresh look you can in your skin.
I use it every day in the winter, and I'm more than fine. In the summer time it can still looks nice, but not in extremelly hot weather cause it might start melting.

It's a 30 ml bottle and costs around 20 euros from all pharmacies.

La Roche Posay has another foundation, one with full coverage.
I haven't try it yet, but I will. For now, I don't think I need it cause this one makes me feel confident way more than I thought it will.

You won't  loose anything if you buy it. It's beneficial for your sensitive skin no matter what :)
