NYX: HD studio photogenic Finishing powder

Hey girls.

Greek hot summer is here, so time for mattifing products for the face that can be worn during those high temperatures.

Nyx has this HD proffesional translucent loose powder which I adore!
It took me a while to learn how to use it properly, but now here I am!
The secret is to use a little bit for your whole face. A small amount is enough for a perfect mat finish on top of your foundation and you're gonna see that it really has a proffesional result.
I really love that my face looks and feels baby soft, nothing powdery nor white residues at all if you use the correct amount I'm telling you. If not, you may think it is heavy and white.
It gives that perfect face with no extra coverage, just a perfect setting powder for every skin tone and your foundation will look flawless.
Also, a powder brush is the ideal tool with taping movements or circular moves. Don't use powder puffs, it may look heavy.

In general, the key is that with the tiniest amount you can see the result you want, for a whole soft powderless look.

It is a little bit expensive for the tiny amount of 6gr but hey, it really worth it. Don't forget you don't need much each time you use it.

NYX: Chunky dunk Hydrating lippie in Berry mojito

Hey everyone!

This is a product that finally every brand has come up with; that lipstick in a giant kinda pencil form.
Let me tell you that after reading this review, you probably want to go and buy some of these beauties as you're gonna find that convenient and easy to use lippie product every girl should own.

The reason why I've fallen in love with these Nyx jumbo lipsticks is how moisturising they are, yet with that pigment of color a lipstick has on the same time without having to worry if the color will fade.
Every type of good moisture I want to find is automatically combined with the form a lip balm has, so with no pigment on. This is not like that. 
This has all the above:
Moisture, as it will not dry out your lips at all.
Color, as its pigment is like you have a nice mositurising lipstick on, yet the color doesn't wash off.
Duration, while many hours after you're gonna have a nice stain on your lips which is the best part as you won't need to reapply in order to have a color on.
I love them! Definitely will buy more and more colors.

The berry mojito shade that I own is so perfect as it is that darker fuschia color like your lips are been biten! A tip I want to add at this part is that you may have to try darker colors fisrt, so as to have the best pigmentation you can get.
Also, the shape that looks like a jumbo pencil is ideal for your handbang and for your getting lined lips life!

Love the price, love the texture, love the feeling, love the color.
The very first innovating lipstick that has nothing boring to talk about!

NYX: Matte Lipstick in Perfect Red

Hi everyone!

If you're interested in red lipsticks, then this review is for you ;)

I think that every girl should have at least one shade of  red color that suits her.
The red shade that suits my fair skin is the one with blue undertones, the pure wine red.
It can compliment my skin, my hair and my teeth.

Well, I find that classic red can be also very interesting on brunettes.
This is what this NYX red lipstick is all about!

First of all, we're talking about a matte classic red lipstick.
It's not exactly that wine red I love, but more of a retro classic red, like movie stars wear on red carpet ;)
It makes my smile brighter, it's amazing.
The matte texture of Nyx range though, seems to me not the most suitable for my taste.
Although it's a matte finish, it is creamy when I put it on, it glides easily on my lips, it has a nice finish, but it doesn't sit on my lips smoothly. It creates little flakes that I haven't, even after exfoliating and good moisture before the application. Also, the color stops to one part of my low lip, and then boom, the pink shade of my natural lip is there. Do you know what I mean? Maybe I'm used to more satin and creamy texture lipsticks.
Apart from that though, I still wear it with an essence lipliner in Femme Fatale so as to prevent those flakes to be shown, plus to give even more intensity and depth to its lovely color payoff.
If you wish, due to its amazing pigmentation, you don't need to use a pencil, as you can fill in any areas with the same lipstick. Love how long wearing and pigmented it is too and that's why I keep reaching for it, as for nights out it's a miracle. One or two layers and you're ready.
I won't buy though again this matte range as it is not my type, feeling my lips like " look, I'm wearing a bright color, find the flaws ".
The package is ok, nothing fancy to brag. The smell again ok, pleasant when you have it on.
It's a 7 euros product, for 4.5 gr. Amazing value of money, yes yes!

In general, I do love its shade, pigmentation, finish and duration. We have a tiny bit issue with the matte feeling on my lips but ok, nothing to shout out.
Please let me know any tips of how you use any color you may have from this Matte range, so as to make the best of it.

NYX Blush in Nutmeg

Happy November everyone!

I'm so excited for this review as it is my very first purchase from Nyx cosmetics!
Before I start,  I NEED to share with you that I had the oppurtunity to meet, talk and take pictures with Toni Ko, Founder of NYX from Los Angeles, when she visited Greece for Nyx Store Opening !!! Yayyyy ^_^
 
So, what else to buy from an amazing brand than your favorite make up item which is blushes for me! I certainly can't go out without my blush on ;)
I decided to go with a basic color blush, called Nutmeg! Well, I LOVE it!

First stop, its color! This is the perfect every day neutral brownish, but in a healthy way color for your cheeks! You can use it as your contour, as it has no shimmers and the muted color helps you a lot to achieve that defined structure to your bones, and as your basic blush too while it gives you that fresh matte appearance you desire. It's that basic color you can't believe it can give you such a flattering look, with any kind of make up you have on. The color you see in the pan, the same color you get to your cheeks!
It has a really strong pay off! You only need one swatch to your brush and boom! You're flushed and ready to go! So, that's the reason why it stays on all day too! You can aslo build up the color for more intese look, without looking clowny. I'm an NC20 fair skin, so this is suitable for light skins.
As for the texture... It's soo soft and easy to work with it! Blends amazingly well, leaving you with no streaks. A thing that you might be aware of is that it is quite powdery for my taste, so I need to tap off any extra amount from my blush brush. I have the idea of wasting product when blushes are so powdery, but it's a thing that doesn't bother me too much.

It's a 5.2gr of product for 9 Euros, Europe price. For Nyx, it's quite pricey. But in comparison with other drugstore brands it's ok. I would definitely purchase again one of their blushes, a similar one when it comes to color shade, called Espresso.
It is a remarkable quality product, so I won't let other shades stay alone at their stands! I need to get all of them in my drawer :D
I do love the package too! Sleek, compact and shiny. Easy to carry on in your bag, taking no place at all. 

The fun part is that it is a dupe for MAC blush in Tenderling, which I love too !!!!
They have almost the same color and texture! Tenderling is a sheertone light neutral beige blush, so it goes on quite light. But if you do build it up, you get the same color as Nyx in Nutmeg! It can be used for blush and contour too.
So, if you're on a budget, you can definitely try Nyx instead of Mac.

As a blush fanatic, having on my make up collection many many blushes from different brands, I have to admit that I've fallen to this Nyx blush and I'll keep buying more and more shades for sure!
